Finding JV Partners
« on: April 18, 2009, 01:12:29 PM »
Everyone always asks, "How do I find JV partners when I don't have a list and no one knows who I am?"

A couple quick thoughts: First, go to the Clickbank category you are interested in and visit the top 50 sites or so. You will likely find an op-in form on most pages. Sign up for as many newsletters or mini-courses as you can. If the publisher is using aWeber for their auto-responder (many will) they must have a physical mailing address at the bottom of every email they send you. Make a list of those vendors and their physical mailing addresses.

Now you can contact them with JV offers directly by snail mail. I'm not trying to spend your money for you, but send them in a Priority Mail pack from the post office. Yeah, each will cost you a few bucks, but they will more likely get attention.

Don't start out with, "Hey, I've got a great product for you to promote." That will get trashed.

First develop a relationship with these people. If they have top CB products they will have a list and it may be a big one. Offer them something first. For the key players you could write a dozen articles and send them to them to submit to eZineArticles under their own name. They must be new articles you have never submitted yourself. Doing something like this will let them know you are serious about building a lasting relationship with them.

Or, you could offer to interview them and use the interview as an opt-in bonus or a bonus with your product. Of course offer to include their name and info on how to order their product in the interview. This is another great way to become known to the key players in your niche.

Maybe you have other services you could offer them. Be creative! Start out by letting them know who you are and that you are a person of substance. Later you can bring up potential JV offers.

This is excellent, excellent advice. Don't overlook this.
